Thingstätte
Between 1933 and 1936, “Thingstätte” (literally: sites of things) were erected as open-air theaters and propagandist meeting places in early Nazi Germany. Four hundred Thingstätten were planned, and around sixty were built. Many of these little-known sites are still scattered across Germany, Poland and Russia, some forgotten, others still actively used as open-air theaters.
