This set of 50 drawings was made in between August 2019 and June 2020. These drawings in Indian ink, graphic reinterpretations close to abstraction, recover two strings of scenic postcards of the Vosges mountains (the Hautes-Vosges et Hohneck, circa 1920), and a set of photographs of the Andes Cordillera, from accounts of mountain expeditions (circa 1950).
Alt. may be understood as the abbreviation of the word “altitude”, or as a reference to the key “alt”, the alternative key of computer keyboards.
